Our Thames Path Footbridge Competition Entry encapsulates our approach to design. The arch profile with raking pile abutments is simple and highly efficient. The stainless steel hollow section arches, filled with concrete to damp vibration, are modern in material but classic in form. The untreated oak decking and balustrade would weather to a silvery-brown. It is engineering as free from style as reasonably possible. A bridge built later at Blair Castle used similar details.
