78 Derngate is a rare example of the work of Charles Rennie Macintosh for the toymaker W.J. Bassett Lowke. The structural alterations and restoration of the Grade II* listed building within a very small footprint were complex. The work was financed in part by a Heritage Lottery Grant. The Architect was John McAslan and Partners.
